Eight years ago we opened our small Design/Build Firm, Carriage Lane Design Build Inc. Starting with 2 Founders, we needed space, but had limited funds for overhead. We joined forces with 3 other industry related companies, in a 24,000 SF building with shared resources, and set up shop.
Over the past 8 years, we have seen our firm grow, and in 2018, we decided to look for space to house our larger team. Unfortunately, not much was available, and the cost to invest in a space and update it to our needs was overwhelming.
Coming from a building where our overhead was low, but we had so many amazing services that we had shared access to, we recognized the opportunities this gave our business. We decided to focus our efforts in bringing our successful set up to a larger platform to service others in our industry.
In Jan 2019, we launched The Collective Workspace at the Interior Design Show by putting our efforts, knowledge and background to the forefront in a very different way. This coming Fall, we will be opening up our new doors to help others by paying it forward!
